Is "万雷のうちに" correct or should it be "万雷の拍手のうちに"?

正直なところ、私「万雷」ってあまり使った記憶がなくて、でも「万雷のうちに幕が下りた」と聞いたら、状況は想像できるんです。ただ、正しい使い方が分からないんですよね。KK_kaku_さんご存じですか？

使ったことはないですが「万雷のうちに」で調べてもこの文しかヒットしなかったので、変更しました。

"Thunderous applause" would match "万雷の拍手" really nicely.
