I wonder if 'spent' is accurate here. This sentence uses 'invested' (i.e. he expects some sort of return or benefit from the car.)

The English sentence was edited before I adopted it and when I was adopting sentences, I was only looking at the English.
I have unlinked the current English sentence since it no longer matches the Japanese.
He has invested all the money in his car.
