I suggest this sentence change into either of these:

ここで写真を取っていいですか。
ここで写真を取れますか。

取れる means "can take", and いいですか means "can I?".
You can not use them at the same time like this.

撮る　instead of 取る ?

For exams, it's perhaps the better choice. However, I think 取る can not be said inacceptable.

All とる have same basic meaning, and 取る is the most general among them. You should not make a wrong choice among 録る, 盗る, 摂る, 執る, 捕る, 獲る, 撮る, 採る, but if you replace each of them with 取る, it doesn't look too unnatural to me.

I mean, even if you use 取る instead of 撮る, it's not really a problem because no misunderstoods are possible.
In this sentence you can't understand nothing but to take a picture with a camera ( I think )

If the meaning is to take a picture, 取る in 写真を取る looks strange to me. I would like to use the proper or common kanji for Japanese sentences.

However, as CK says it's better to use hiragana for the kanji with the same reading.

I said "取る can not be said inacceptable". Maybe it's too much. I understamd some ,or many, think it's inacceptable, and I have no intention to persuade them to accept it. I should've just said, "It's acceptable to me, so I didn't correct it."
