This means : "Please call Ishmael" It's not the same.

I'm absolutly not perfect in japanese, but I know くれ is an informal way for imperative.
I rather understand my sentence as "call ishmael for me"/"do the service to me to call ishmael"

Yes, but that's not what the English or the other Japanese sentences say. Call me Ishmael = Appelez-moi Ishmael

actually in French, Appelez-moi Ishmael can mean both, it's depend on the way you say it.

Tu veux dire, par exemple: "Appelez-moi Ishmael, je veux lui parler."

En anglais, il faudrait dire: "Call Ishmael for me"

僕をイシュマエルと呼んでくれ。 Please call me Ishmael -> My name is Ishmael
イシュマエルを呼んでくれ。 Please call Ishmael -> Please shout and say "Ishmael, come over here!"
