Seems to me the sentence is correct, but I wonder about the exact meaning of that sentence:

- Wouldn't we use this sentence in a context such as "It's my grandfather's birthday today" "How old is your grandfather [now]" ?

in a context such as "my grandfather is quite old you know" "How old..." it may be something different ? (something like 你爷爷多大年纪? not sure though)

if someone can explain us :)
