@CK
この程度の変更であれば、自分の判断で変更しても大丈夫ですか?
"She has asked me if it's OK to make the Japanese sentences sound more like what people really say."
That would do us a great service, wouldn't it? :)

@small_snow
Don't change it back. It's fine.
If I can make a few general points:
- it's good to have sentences in correct and idiomatic Japanese. I realise
quite a lot from the Tanaka collection are stilted and clunky.
- when a sentence is changed, I need to amend the indices which associate
the sentence with the dictionary entries. For this one I'd need to change
言う{言って} to 伝える{お伝え}. I don't mind doing this, but a heap of changed
sentences gives me a lot of work.
- my biggest problem is when the change removes the only example of the
usage of a term. Then it would be good if another sentence or two were added
which used the term, or maybe the original restored, e.g. if it's just a case of
it being a less common term.
I don't want to get in the way of what small_snow is doing. I suggest that she
goes ahead, but alerts me that a change has happened. I can respond if it's causing a problem.
