
Not sure but, isn't the meaning of 白黒ぶち "white and black-spotted"? While a white dog with black spots could also be described as simply "black and white", there does exist a color pattern that is "black and white" but couldn't be said to be "spotted". The addition of ぶち (less common reading of 斑) here suggests that this distinction is being made.
