"Everyone" should be with は, cuz it's the executor of this action (said); and "I" is the second executor, it's in the subsentence, so should be が.
Also, 誰でも is better for "everyone". 誰も is also "everyone", nevertheless it is more frequently used with negative and the sense becomes "nobody".
Also I presume that there isn't a need in using continuous tense (ている). And, of course, 言った with kanji is better.
また、"誰でも" には "は" をつけて "誰でもは" と使う事ができません。
「誰もが～」では全面的な肯定となるため"everyone"に近くなると思います。
