   Si, realmente, la frase original era muy extraña.
   En la vida diaria uno no utiliza "fenotipo" para hablar de la apariencia de una persona (y tal vez no la ocupes nunca en tu vida si no eres un experto en ciencias biológicas)
   "Discrepar" se usa para decir que personas tienen opiniones o posturas diferentes.
