The french sentance can be understood in two ways, either as what a doctor would say before taking a patient's electrocardiography, or as a patient would say (to a third person) before having their electrocardiography taken.

Although the most gramatically correct meaning is that of "I'll take your ECG", in common language people substitute "faire" for verbs like "se faire faire", hence the second meaning.
