A simple test anyway to test if a sentence is natural or not for the chinese language (which is mostly written on the web by only native, as the opposite of some languages as English which are written 30% of the time by non-native), is to google or baidu it
and that's how I found that your sentences came from that book, because in addition to the fact that to my knowledge of Chinese, people there nearly never use passive if the object is not a living things (and even though I quite never see/hear it, especially if we know who is the subject) and the only few hits I get were about that book
So unfortunately I legally must delete these sentences.

How can you know that sentence is from text book?
