I think it's better to restore the original sentence since the sentence comes from Tanaka Corpus, but this has links to German, Italian, and Portuguese. Google translate says they mean the same as the English sentence, is that correct?
Please tell me, @Pfirsichbaeumchen, @Ricardo14
Perhaps do you know the meaning of the Italian sentence, too, @Ricardo14?

Both the Portuguese and the Italian sentences mean something like "I squatted/bent down to pick up the pen."

こゆきさんのご提案の通り、元に戻しました。これで訳文は全て日本語に合っていると思います。ドイツ語の文は、また他の訳文とは少し異なりますが、日本語の文の訳としては大丈夫だと思います。具体的に言うと、ドイツ語の Füller は、他の言語で使われている単語 pen, penna, caneta より制限的で、「万年筆」に限るのに加えて、不定冠詞 ein(en) が付いているので、他の言語とは違って「そのペン」ではなく「或るペン」という意味になっています。
