Since the Japanese has other translations, it's better to unlink them than to change it. I've unlinked the English, but I'm not sure other languages could match or not.

One of our rules...

Only adopt "orphan" sentences in your own native language.

Adopting is a way to give your "stamp of approval."

A "stamp of approval" by a native speaker means more, so that's why we have this guideline.

That would work if native speakers actually made an effort to check orphan sentences, adopt those that are good and mark as questionable those that would better be changed.

You should probably indicate your command of English in your profile so everyone could know you can be freely addressed in English. It's commonly assumed, for obvious reasons, but there are in fact users who don't know much of English.

I think you adopted it by accident when you added it as a translation to a sentence (Edit: apparently you didn’t since it doesn’t show it in the logs)
To prevent that, link a translation TO an orphan sentence, and not the other way around
