(fr) "un mile" --> "un mille"

Si l'on craint une hésitation à comprendre, on peut dire : "un mille d'Angleterre" (ou, sans doute moins bien, "un mille anglais").

Beaucoup écrivent "mile" (que je trouve même dans un excellent dictionnaire orthographique). Mais "mille" n'est pas un autre mot ici que dans "mille romain", "mille marin", etc. Au Canada, où l'on a l'habitude de traduire et non de mélanger les langues, on écrit "mile" en anglais, mais "mille" en français.
