Hi,
This sentence sounds a little odd. 'Pretty much' (as an adverb) should come before 'love' (the verb). However, 'He pretty much loves animals' implies that he loves animals and nothing/no-one else.
The German translation seems to be saying that he has a lot of love for animals, so 'He really loves animals' or 'He loves animals a lot' would sound more natural.
:)
Done and thank you for the notice ...
