才能 is what you have, 世襲 is the action of passing down the positions. It's better to use "血筋" instead, which is what you have (We say "～な血筋の持ち主", for example).
Besides, I feel somewhat uncomfortable with "重要だ". I'd prefer to say "重視される", though I can't explain why.
