[eng] Can someone who is fluent at Japanses please confirm the exact meaning of this sentence. The English translation seems to imply that "flags have been hoisted on the eaves of houses".
"Hoisting", implies that these houses are equipped with a hoisting device (mast+pulley+rope...), as far as I know. Is that the normal procedure to fly flags on Japanese "houses"?
