Hace como tres años él solía agregar frases en español pero después dejó que los hispanohablantes las adoptaran. En este caso creo que no encaja porque jam se refiere a alguien que se quedó atorado en el tráfico.

Usualmente se usa cuando tenés una deuda y no tenés el dinero para pagarla.
Aunque también se usa en algún otro contratiempo.
