The corresponding English has been changed from:

The old woman seemed to fall down at any second.

to:

The old woman seemed ready to fall down at any second.

in my opinion the german translation needs no change.

Irgendwie kommt mir der englische Satz komisch vor. Würde man das wirklich so sagen, Alan?

Paßt der deutsche nicht noch immer? Ich würde vielleicht „Die alte Frau drohte jeden Moment hinzufallen“ oder „Die alte Frau war kurz davor hinzufallen“ sagen.

@Pfirsichbaeumchen, yes, an English speaker would definitely say "seemed ready to fall down at any second" (actually, "moment" would be more likely). Or "about to fall down".
