Could someone finish this sentence?

The English sentence comes from the Bible and the Japanese part was also taken from one of Japanese versions. Due to different syntax between two languages, this one no longer is a sentence.

I am translating the English one into a proper sentence.

It would be a nice idea, when quoting a Bible (or other well known religious book), to give a quotation source, like John 3:12 here.
