"take" -> "get a"

To elaborate, in English "get a hold of" can be either literal ("The policeman got a hold of the thief as he was running through the door") or figurative ("I finally managed to get a hold of my sister on the phone after she came back from vacation"), but it is more likely to be figurative. Verbs like "catch" and "capture" can also be either literal or figurative, but (especially "capture") are more likely to be literal than "get a hold of" is.
