Why did they use ''möchte'' in the German sentence? Doesn't that merely express a desire rather than the fact that you WILL join a golf club? The Japanese translation uses ''つもり’' (going to join, planning to join).

The other indirect translations seem to be misaligned as well. If you look up #747749 you'll notice that the Spanish translation has ''quiero'' and the Esperanto one has ''emas'', both expressing desire, yet they're directly aligned with ''I will join a golf club''.
The German translation with "möchte" was likely the result of confusing English "will" with German "will". I've unlinked it, and as a consequence the indirect translations are gone as well.
I chose to comment here, because there was a problem in the linked sentences as well.
