The English sentence has lost the 'letter' mentioned in the Japanese one. Is anything else missing? What about the 方がいい?

^ The English "Do you think I should write?" is a valid translation of 手紙を書く方がいいと思いますか。(and vice versa). The 'a letter' portion can be omitted as understood from the English (but probably not from the Japanese).

^ 方がいい is where the 'should' comes from.

Okay, then I'll change it back. Thanks.

I believe the Japanese sentence should be 手紙を書いた方がいいと思いますか?
