    This is better spoken than written English. I suggest "As for the accusations of heresy--here, the evidence is much weaker" or "As for the accusations of heresy: here, the evidence is much weaker."

    You mean "matches the Japanese punctuation"? Such an argument premises that Japanese and English punctuation conventions are identical.
