Is "such... as" a valid structure to be used here? Also, the French-English correspondence could be better...

It's old-fashioned and rather formal, but there's nothing wrong with the English. I can't say anything for how well it matches the French.

The English here emphasizes the foreignness of the books (I think), but the French simply says "He has foreign books that you can't find in Japan."

They should probably be unlinked.
