The English doesn't make much sense. Should it be this? I don't speak any Japanese.

Oddly enough it's in my Shogakukan Dictionary for あり余るほど(の)

Googling, it appears to be a phrase from the King James Bible. (Luke 15:17).

At best it's archaic now.
