Der englische Satz, Manfred, von dem her Du übersetzt hast, steht auf etwas wackeligen Füßen. Habe mich eben bei einem Muttersprachler versichert und bekam die Auskunft: posh English 100 years ago.

Außerdem sollte die korrekte Übersetzung lauten: "Er SOLL ..."
Persönlich würde ich "Er soll da nicht hingehen" sagen, aber das ist Deine Sache.

Ja, ich wollte erst "Er soll da nicht hingehen" schreiben.
Aber dann probierte ich, was dict.cc dazu sagt. Das irritiert mich etwas. sb. shan't [shall not] jd. will nicht
Ich werde es aber ändern.
