This doesn't really make sense to me. Maybe it's British English?

This does not sound like something a native speaker would say, at least not in the US.

Still sounds odd to me, but apparently it's used in some parts of the world.

I'm British and I would agree with that sentence. It's not that common but it makes sense to me and I've heard it used.
