I forgot to buy her a present.
does it mean the same as
He forgot to buy her a present.
Or
He forgot the fact of buying her a present (=He forgot that he bought her a present)
?
The second meaning would be expressed more naturally as "He forgot that he had bought her a present" (which I just added as #12293180).
Thank you
