Sources differ on which is 'better' between 'younger than me' and younger than I'. I prefer the former, but I think both are used.
Yeah, I prefer to use me/him/her after than rather than I/he/she. Similar debate to that one about whether a telephone call should go: "Mrs. Smith?" "Yes, this is she." or "Yes, this is her."
Here also, I feel that "her" is more natural and to me it makes sense grammatically because "her" is used when the word is in the object position where as "she" is used when the word is in the subject position.
