hey BraveSentry ^^, welcome to tatoeba
I think you might've jumped the gun on this one. There's a guideline against changing sentences that on their own are possible and correct translations see:http://blog.tatoeba.org/2010/02...eba.html#rule5
I suggest you revert it back and add your translation as an alternative
thank you
yep, the english version on its own was a correct sentence, but up to now it had no links to it and no unique words were used, so there should be no conflict arousing from changing it.
I don't think that's the point though ^^'
It's linked to the japanese and it's a possible translation of it, plus it's correct on it's own...why change it?
humn...from your comment to the japanese i concluded that theres no indicator that the one saying this sentence was speaking of his own poverty. so i thought it was not a correct translation but merely something which has a vaguely similar meaning. as i don´t fully remember the original english version i´ll let go of this sentence, thus leaving it up to you and say "sorry, i´m new in here and i´ll never do it again.".
don't worry about it^^, I usually like to play it safe, someone who's fluent in japanese might come later and change this sentence after all :P
anyway I'm gonna add the translation you suggested :)
