> Because the school has a holiday tomorrow, I'm planning to go out and play.
This seems like one reasonable fix. It's fairly consistent with the Japanese, I think.
I can revert it, but then the English will be decidedly incorrect, grammar-wise...
There are two grammar issues.
1. "the school is a holiday tomorrow" is not proper English. We could say "has a holiday" or "is on holiday".
2. "it is scheduled to make an excursion" is not proper English. The subject is wrong. I'm assuming the subject is "I". But that is ambiguous.
Ah, the French is also subject-less, I believe. But my French is rusty. In that case, your example looks very suitable. That is, I'll post this for now.
> Because tomorrow is a holiday from school, we plan to go on an excursion.
I adopted the French sentence and corrected it. It's now very close to the English sentence.
