The English does not make sense. What does the Japanese say?
Changed it, I hope this one sounds more natural.
If my knowledge isn't wrong, the Japanese sentence is something like "Both my parents opposed to my plan ← that was not the case."
It's fine except that "to" should be changed to "with".
