Check punctuation. Shouldn't it be as follows?

I'm going to get going before this feeling goes. Well, they do say, "Strike while the iron is hot."

Thanks. Punctuation conventions differ in the US and UK, but to be consistent with logical punctuation we should have two periods here.

I don't think that conventions differ here, except maybe for the type of quotation marks used. To have two full stops like that can't be correct. I've found this page with examples: https://en.oxforddictionaries.c...direct-speech. Of course, there are many more. ☺

It looks like my punctuation is running ahead of the style manuals. I have toned it down.

I wonder about this "before it goes" to mean "気持ちが冷めないうちに."
