The thing is in Turkish they also say milk for milk (süt) but for some reason the writer has expressly written "inek sütü" (cows' milk).

Interestingly enough, the origin seems to be a Chinese sentence using the word 牛奶 which I suppose is similar to the Japanese 牛乳.

It's occurred to me that it might be better to translate it as ¨The butter...¨ as this is also a possible rendering of the Turkish into English, and it would make more sense to have cows there then. What do you think of that?

my guess: cow's milk

Personally I think cows' milk is more correct as butter is made from the milk of more than one cow.

Can "the butter" be as general as "butter", or can it only refer to some particular butter? Because translation depends.
