Tradução não literal. Parece-me possível ver aqui uma alusão a "amar a Deus" — antes de pensar na existência (ou inexistência) de Deus, o homem pode amá-lo na Natureza. Talvez John Donne esteja dizendo mais ou menos isso.

Ne laŭvorta traduko. Ŝajnas eble, vidi tie aludon al "amo je Dio" - antaŭ ol konsideri la ekziston (aŭ neekziston) de Dio, homo povas ami ĝin en Naturo. Eble John Donne diras pli- malpli tion.
