"often" no es "a veces", sino "a menudo", "con frecuencia".

Tu español es muy bueno, Pharamp. Con relación a la frase que nos ocupa, tienes razón: yo no hablo japonés, de modo que la última palabra la tiene Tatoerique, pero me llama la atención que en todos los demás idiomas a los que está traducida la oración (inglés, francés, esperanto) se usó "often", "souvent", "ofte", que significa "a menudo". Además, una traducción automática del japonés al español mediante el traductor de Google me dio como resultado: "Él era a menudo ausente de la escuela."

Sí, sí, el problema es que tatoerique no lee a los comentarios, y entonces los moderatores pueden corregir sus errores sin esperar su respuesta. Voy a escribir algo en bajo de la frase japonesa :)

@Eldad: we should ALWAYS leave a comment, but if a native speaker notices an error (and write a comment), we don't have to wait 2 weeks or his reply for correcting.
