Einige meiner Klassenkameraden sind absolute Noobs. Sie haben keine Ahnung von Computern.
Hi, welcome to tatoeba, nice to see my geek sentences translated ^^
And I'm happy to translate some more :)
Does anyone *actually* say "computing science" today...?
I'm not a native English speaker, but I would guess it was a term used in the "old days". At least it exists because Wikipedia's article says "Computer science or *computing science* is the study of..."
But considering that you have the word "noobs" in this sentence, if "computing science" is old-fashioned, then having those two terms together may be... out of phase?
In fact I'm not sure too, but where I work, when people speak english, even Indian or so, I always hear "computing science" for this field, but none of them are "pure native" so I don't know
Hmm... actually I'm not a native speaker either, but the person who 'sais' this sentence seems to be a young school kid, maybe teenager. And I just can't imagine a teenager using the word "Computing Sience".
I think "Computer Science" sounds better but I'm also not a native ... (during interviews, I've always heard Computer instead of Computing)
The comma should be replaced by a period.
or a semicolon...
*psst sysko* a possible slang version to match noobs: "they dunno shit about computers" ;P
