2 x 'oss' ? :)

Yes, indeed, we use 2 x oss to express this :) The same in Danish, as you can see.

"Låt oss" means "Let us". A different way to express (approximately) the same thing as "Låt oss fatta oss kort" would be "Vi fattar oss kort". A (not so naturally sounding) English translation of that sentence is "We express ourselves with brevity". So, "oss" in Swedish means both "us" and "ourselves".

Another example that also requires two 'oss" in the same sentence is:

"Du har precis sett oss göra bort oss".
"You have just seen us make fools of ourselves".

If you replace 'oss' with 'mig', it's "You have just seen me make a fool of myself".
