If this is your true feeling, you shouldn't adopt the sentence, since that's like giving it your stamp of approval.
If you adopt bad sentences, then your username is no more trustworthy than a non-native speaker.
Note that you can "release" (unadopt) a sentence by clicking on the black man icon in front of your username on the sentence's page.
The fastest way to unadopt those that you adopted by mistake would be to use this advanced search, showing sentences you "own" with the oldest sentences first (the lowest sentence numbers first).

Sorry, @CK, I must have misunderstood the process. I thought by adopting it I could correct it - or even delete it? Sometimes the support articles are a bit hard to figure out. I know I do have to wait until I have at least 1000 sentences and become an advanced contributor.
This still has you as the owner. You can unadopt it if you want to by clicking on the black man icon in front of your username on the sentence's page.
