Так как церковь расположена на холме, из неё открывается прекрасный вид. ?

"Будучи расположенной на холме" в принципе нормально. Вопрос, как сделать церковь подлежащим... "Открывает взору" - сильно, конечно :)

Можно "взору наблюдателя", по-моему, неплохой bookish-стиль.
