Das Italienische - auch mit dem japanischen Satz verbunden - hat den Plural (also: Noten waren gut). Über das Japanische kann ich nichts sagen.
Persönlich finde ich es immer "deutscher", die Zeitadverbien und so was nicht am Ende des Satzes zu platzieren: war/waren diesmal gut. Oder: Diesmal war/waren ...

japanisch markiert in diesem satz keinen plural, von daher könnte man die note im deutschen satz problemlos in den plural setzen. allerdings verstehe ich nicht ganz, wie das vom sinn her geht? ist im italienischen satz von mehreren prüfungen die rede? oder eine prüfung mit mehreren noten?

das nachgestellte diesmal ist stilistisch nicht superschön, ich geb' dir recht, aber ich finde es am natürlichsten so (ganz subjektiv). der japanische satz ist, denke ich, auch ein klein bisschen gestelzt, wie du an den drei "の" sehen kannst (also eine ellenlange schachtelkonstruktion).

Ich bin im Italienischen nicht heimisch genug. Kann gut sein, dass der Plural einfach immer so verwendet wird, wo wir einen Singular setzen würden. "Esame"/"Examen" ist jedenfalls Singular. Schönen Dienstag!
