I think that in cases where the only difference is, a) a minor punctuation difference or b) the difference between kana and kanji, we can get away with merging them.
In merging priority is given to owned sentences, with sentences that are the oldest having priority when both are owned. So in this case if I change the 。 to a ? it will be merged into 467414 next time the script is run.
In the mean time I have copied the links across from one to the other.

Not at all. My answer is that they both have to be the _same_ to merge (and it isn't that significant which is chosen).
