Japanese websites have the tradition of 'kiriban' (loosely translated, lucky number). The visitor that 'treads on the kiriban' (is the lucky number-th visitor) is often given a gift by the site owner (e.g. a specially drawn picture).

Is that likely to happen on this site?

(i.e. will you draw me a picture if I get 888,888?)

Technically, you should ask Trang that. ;-)

@sysko: Just don't tell your Chinese students about it. If they get in on this, there's no way I'm getting that number...

*number?

Number is a title here.

"luck"? isn't it "happiness", according to the French sentence? ("bonheur")

I translated from the English. I guess it's a very loose translation.
