Að líta út virkar ekki með föl, held það sé vegna þess að föl er lýsingarorð og að líta út þarf atviksorð (það passar að minnsta kosti við æll dæmi sem mér duttu í hug). Fer því betur á því að segja "Þú virðist/virkar mjög föl." Mögurlega "Þú lítur út fyrir að vera mjög föl." en það hentar samt ekki vel með föl sem er svo augljóslega eithvað sem sést.
