    Wie wäre es mit einem der folgenden (damit auch das 'Entschuldigung' erhalten bleibt)?

    It's better to wirte it in hiragana なんじ because of いつ which is writed in the same way in kanji.

    By the way, yesterday I exactly send the same sentence in kanji to a japanese, and he didn't understand.

    @Quazel: really? I never saw いつ in kanji, but I often saw なんじ in kanji...

    I guessed that too.

    I was in a niconico live video, I comment "何時ですか” and the guy didn't understand until I comment "なんじ、ごめん” :p

    So maybe need a piece of advice from a native ?

    Maybe he just didn't understand because of missing context? (Like: 日本で、今何時ですか。）

    Best would be to ask that guy himself... :D

    Yeah, you're probably right, but if as you say いつ　is almost only writed in hiragana and なんじ in kanji, the guy should have understand directly, no ?
