Thank you for the comment.

As you know, Japanese is not my native language, but I am trying to improve it. I had hoped that the collaborative nature of the site would help me iron out the kinks I have in constructing proper (and natural-sounding) Japanese.

I should have tried writing Nietzsche in katakana, though I can barely spell it in English :). I also dithered about whether さん should go in or not. I guessed that names like Plato or Aristotle probably don't take it, but I wasn't sure. How does it sound with and without?

In general I can agree with your point about "goodness", but I thought that (a) the site is geared towards collaboratively improving the texts (via comments and ratings) and (b) it's primarily a learning resource and people (me included) have their own ways of using it that suit them best. As a compromise, could I put a disclaimer like "not a native speaker of Japanese--please correct my mistakes" in a comment on my Japanese sentences?

I will definitely look into doing translations the other way around. Thanks for the link. Without it, I don't know how I would have crafted the right search terms.
