
why is the belarussian sentence written with polish alphabet? shouldn't it be Джон едзе ў школу на аўтобусе? i'm not a native speaker but I think it should look like this.

This is the so-called Łacinka — the Belarusian Latin alphabet. It is rarely used nowadays, but Tatoeba rules don’t prohibit writing in various alphabets for one language if they are/were actually used at some point in history.
