You're right, of course, and I apologize. I was showing Kanae, my Japanese daughter-in-law, how Tatoeba works, and because she is not yet enrolled as a Tatoeba contributor, her translation got posted under my nickname. Kanae's first language is Japanese; she grew up in Japan and attended university in that country. For over a decade now she has lived in Canada. She understands most idiomatic English and is quite comfortable talking in English. She is interested in contributing Japanese translations from English and will likely sign up to do so soon.
