or the such

by "quite aware" does it intend to come across slightly abrupt? It is natural in that way but I imagine it spoken by someone in an (even slightly) argumentative mode, telling the other person not to say something they are already aware of. As in:
A- But for example I took Joe to the airport last week, and picked up groceries for him.
B- I'm quite aware of your kindness. However, the fact remains...

Yes, exactly. That's a proper context.
The Japanese is a sentence you would most usually use to refuse another person's kindness, and then give an argument.
